The VS-2000 Automix Gradation feature provides a smooth transition between two different Automix snapshot values. This is useful if you're trying to fade-in or fade-out on specific tracks.
1. Move the now line (the time) to the location at which you want to take a snapshot.
2. If Automix isn't already turned on, press AUTOMIX so it lights solidly.
3. Hold down SHIFT and press AUTOMIX to open the Automix Edit screen.
4. Set any Automix track whose settings you want to capture to Write mode by using the ZOOM cursor buttons and the TIME/VALUE dial.
5. While holding down AUTOMIX, press REC—AUTOMIX starts flashing to signify that it's ready to take the snapshot.
6. Go to the point at which you wish to start the gradation and press the IN button. Move the faders to the desired positions, and then take the snapshot by holding AUTOMIX and pressing TAP MARKER/SNAPSHOT.
