Here's how to import .WAV files from your computer to the BR-80 using the WAV Converter software. You may download the BR WAV Converter software by clicking on the link below:
BR WAV Converter (Windows, Mac)
Note: You’ll need have a song on your BR-80 to put the files in. You can make a new song or import them into an existing song.
- On the BR-80, press the MENU button.
- Use the cursor buttons to select "FUNCTION" and then press ENTER.
- Use the cursor buttons to select "USB" and then press ENTER.
- Use the dial to select "STORAGE" and then press ENTER twice.
- Turn off the BR-80's power and then back on again. The BR-80's USB mode is now set to Storage.
- Use a USB cable to connect the BR-80 to your computer.
Note: The BR-80 may appear on your computer with a drive letter (For example; E: or F:). You can close any windows that open, but you’ll need to know this drive letter in Step 8. - Launch the BR WAV Converter software by double-clicking BRWC icon on your computer.
Note: The BRWC software is provided as a .zip or .sit file you'll need to extract before using. - Once the BR WAV converter program is open, use the Drive menu at the top left of the screen to select the BR-80 drive you identified in Step 6.
- Select the song you wish to work with from the Song menu.
The squares in the grid represent each of the V-Tracks in your song. If you’re importing into an existing song, any existing V-Tracks will be green. The columns (up and down) represent the tracks. The top square in each column is V-Track 1 and each row represents the other V-Tracks. For example, the second square down in the first column is "Track 1-V2." - Click the track(s) you wish to import to — their color changes to orange. If it’s a stereo track, make sure both sides are orange.
- Click IMPORT in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen.
- Click GO.
- You'll be prompted to browse for a .WAV file. Locate and select the file you’d like to import, and then click Open.
The .WAV file is converted into a V-Track on your BR-80. - Close the BR Wav Converter software by clicking on the "X" in the upper right corner.
- Stop the connection between the BR-80 and your computer:

Windows Users
From the Windows Start menu, click on “Computer.” Right-click the “BOSS_BR-80” icon (or the “Removable disk (*:)” icon), and then click on “Eject.” -
Mac OS Users
Drag the “BR-80” icon to the “Eject” ("Trash") icon.
