* The SE-70 features a wide variety of effects including reverb, delay, pitch
shift, distortion etc. The total number of effects to choose from is 35,
however many of these effects can be subdivided even further. For example,
reverb is considered to be one effect even though the SE-70 features many
variations of this effect including Hall 1, Hall 2, Room, Plate, Gate, Ambiance
and Stereo Reverb.
- The SE-70 features 35 different high-definition effects each comparable in
quality to dedicated effects units. The SE-70 contains both traditional and
unique effects, like a terrific 21-band vocoder, slow gear (automatic volume
swell), vocal canceler, and sampler. Up to 16 different effects can be applied
simultaneously in several of the multi effects configurations including Guitar
Multi 1 and the Bass Multi.
- Some of the SE-50s effects are not found on other units in its price
range. This includes the Vocoder and the Rotary effects. A Vocoder produces a
robotic type voice sound that was very popular in the early 80s. To use the
Vocoder, simply insert a microphone into the right input and a keyboard, guitar
or other instrument into the left input, then select the Vocoder algorithm and
play the instrument while talking into the mic. The Rotary effect does an
amazing simulation of the classic Leslie sound that organists have used for
years.
- Reverb: High-quality reverb effects fully equal those that sophisticated
dedicated reverb units produce. A reverb time of up to 60 sec. and a pre-delay
time of up to 400msec are available.
- Overdrive/Distortion: The overdrive and distortion effects cover everything
from crunch and metallic distortion right up to fuzz, as well as the BOSS OD-1
vintage overdrive sound.
- Guitar Synth: Plug your guitar into the SE-70 and you get a monophonic
analog synth-like sound that responds to your picking
- Pitch Shifter: Produces up to 12 voices. If pitch and pre-delay (up to
1500ms) are adjusted for each voice, a simple phrase will be produced if just
one note is played.
- Guitar Multi No. 4: 2 channels for a clean sound and a distorted sound can
be processed independently. This powerful combination creates a unique sound
that was previously unavailable from any conventional processor.
- Vocal Multi: features a "de-esser" that minimizes annoying breath pops for
recording.
