If you would like to incorporate a sequencer into your system, then you will
need to reevaluate the way you connect the units together. Audio connections
will remain the same, but you will need to connect the MIDI cables in the
following order:
1) Connect the MIDI Out of your GR-50/GM-70 to the MIDI In of the sequencer.
2) Set the sequencers Soft Thru (sometimes called echo) to on, so that the
MIDI information that goes into the MIDI In of the sequencer, is passed thru to
the MIDI Out.
3) To use the GR-50 as a sound module, connect the sequencers MIDI Out to the
GR-50s MIDI In.
4) If you are using additional sound modules, connect the sequencers MIDI Out
into the MIDI In of the first sound module. then connect a MIDI cable from the
MIDI Thru of the first module in your chain to the MIDI In of the second sound
module.
