The TD-8 has a powerful built-in sequencer that allows you to record up to 100 different patterns (in pattern locations 701–800).
Use the following procedure to record a pattern:
- Press the [PATTERN] button so that it’s lit.
- Press [F3], then turn the VALUE dial to select NEW.
- Press [F3].
A blank pattern is selected automatically. - Press [F3], then turn the VALUE dial to select FUNC.
- Press [F3] again.
- Use the CURSOR buttons and the VALUE dial to set the TIME SIGNATURE, LENGTH, and TEMPO.
- Press [PATTERN], then press [REC].
- Press the [CLICK] button, then press [F2] [INST].
- Turn the VALUE dial to select the type of instrument to be used for the metronome.
- Press [PLAY] and play the kit to record your performance.
You can also use the [PREVIEW] button to hear individual instruments. - Press [STOP], then press [PLAY] to listen to your recorded pattern.
- Press [CLICK] again to turn off the metronome.
