The EM-10 has two exciting features that can create multiple variations of any selected Music Style. These features are called Style Progression and Style Morphing.
Style Progression adds or subtracts parts played by the selected Music Style. There are six levels of Style Progression available (the current level is shown in the lower right hand corner of the display). Use the following procedure to apply Style Progression:
1. Using the procedure described above, start playback of a Music Style.
2. Use the STYLE MANIPULATOR ( button to select a simpler version of the accompaniment.
3. Use the STYLE MANIPULATOR ( button to select a fuller version of the accompaniment.
Style Morphing combines elements of two different Music Styles. When a Music Style is selected, the EM-10 automatically loads a second Style in the background. Using the STYLE MANIPULATOR A / B buttons, elements of the selected Style (A Style) can be combined with the background Style (B Style). There are six levels of Style Morphing available (the current level is shown in the lower right hand corner of the display). Use the following procedure to apply Style Morphing:
1. Using the procedure described above, start playback of a Music Style.
2. Use the STYLE MANIPULATOR A and B buttons to "morph" between the A and B Styles.
Although a preset B Style is automatically loaded every time you select a Music Style, you can manually select your own B Style:
1. Press and hold the STYLE MANIPULATOR B button until the arrow in the lower right hand corner of the display starts flashing.
2. While still holding the STYLE MANIPULATOR B button, use the numeric keypad to select the desired B Style.
