Performing a Memory Initialize restores the VG-8EX settings to their original factory defaults.
Note: Initializing the VG-8EX permanently erases the selected data. If there are any settings or patches you want to keep, save them to a Memory Card or back them up to an external MIDI device before performing initialization.
- Turn off the power.
- While holding down the [F1], [F3], and [F5] buttons, turn the power on.
The Memory Initialize screen appears, followed by the message "Memory Initialize. Are You Sure?" asking you to confirm the operation. Use the Function buttons to select the data you want to initialize.
- [F2] SYSTEM: Initializes the System parameters.
- [F4] PATCH: Initializes all patches.
- [F6] ALL: Initializes both the System parameters and all patches.
To cancel without initializing, turn the power off.
When initialization is complete, "Completed" appears on the display.
- Verify that the selected data has been initialized correctly.
