Tone memory data (M-11 to 88) can be saved to an ordinary tape recorder. Use the following procedures:
To Save data to tape:
1. Connect the Tape Save jack on the back of the unit to the Line In or Mic In jack of the tape recorder.
2. Start the tape recorder in Record mode.
3. Hold down the DATA TRANSFER BUTTON and push the Number 3 button (SAVE).
4. Stop the recorder when the operation is finished. You should now Verify that the data was saved correctly.
To Verify the data on tape:
1. Connect the Line Out jack of the tape recorder to the Tape Load jack on the back of the unit.
2. Rewind the tape to the beginning of the saved data.
3. Set the volume of the tape recorder to a medium setting (half way up).
4. Hold down the DATA TRANSFER BUTTON and push the Number 4 button (VERIFY).
5. Press play on the tape recorder. The data will be read into the unit.
6a. If the unit displays Verify ..END, the data on the tape is good.
6b. If the unit displays Verify ..ERR!, the data on the tape is not good and you should repeat the Save procedure.
7. Stop the tape recorder.
To Load data from tape:
1. Connect the Line Out jack of the tape recorder to the Tape Load jack on the back of the unit.
2. Rewind the tape to the beginning of the saved data.
3. Set the volume of the tape recorder to a medium setting (half way up).
4. Set the Memory Protect Switch on the back of the unit to OFF.
5. Hold down the DATA TRANSFER BUTTON and push the Number 5 button (LOAD).
6. Press play on the tape recorder. The data will be read into the unit.
7a. If the unit displays Load ..END, the data has been loaded correctly.
7b. If the unit displays Load ..ERR!, the loading procedure has failed.
8. Stop the tape recorder
9. Set the Memory Protect Switch on the back of the unit to ON.
To Save data to tape:
