GT-5: Assigning the Control Pedal to Activate Manual Mode

The Roland GT-5 can be set up so that each time you press the Control Pedal, Manual Mode will be turned On or Off. When the Manual Mode is turned on, the indicator of the Control Pedal is lit and the display shows the effect that corresponds to each pedal. Use the following procedure to program the Control Pedal for Manual Mode:

For Quick Setting:

1. Press PEDAL/ASSIGN.
2. Use the PARAMETER buttons to select "CTL PEDAL."
3. Use the VALUE dial to select "P7 = MANUAL ON."
4. Press EXIT to return to Play Mode.

For Manual Settings:

1. Press PEDAL/ASSIGN.
2. Use the PARAMETER buttons to select "CTL PEDAL."
3. Unless already set to "ON," use the VALUE dial to select "ON."
4. Use the PARAMETER buttons to select "Target" and use the VALUE dial to select "MANUAL On/Off."
5. Use the PARAMETER buttons to select "Min" and use the VALUE dial to select "Off."
6. Use the PARAMETER buttons to select "Max" and use the VALUE dial to select "On."
7. Use the PARAMETER buttons to select "Mode" and use the VALUE dial to select "Toggle."
8. Press EXIT to return to Play Mode.
