GR-1: How do I initialize the settings and Recorder song data?

You can initialize all settings or only selected data on the Roland GR-1.

The following items can be initialized:

• All settings
• System settings
• Patch settings
• Recorder song data, replacing the current song with the Demo Song
• Recorder song data, leaving the Recorder empty

CAUTION: Initialization permanently erases the changes stored in the selected area.

1. Turn off the power.
2. While holding down the button corresponding to the data you want to initialize, turn on the power.
   • All settings: Hold down [WRITE/COPY].
   • System settings only: Hold down [SYSTEM].
   • Patch settings only: Hold down [PATCH].
   • Delete the Recorder song and load the Demo Song: Hold down [RECORDER/PART].
   • Delete the Recorder song and leave the Recorder empty: Hold down [EXIT/NO].
3. Press [ENTER/YES] to execute the initialization.
