The Roland XP-30 can be restored to its factory settings using the Factory Reset function.
Note: If the XP-30 internal memory already contains important data that you have created, this operation will cause all of this data to be lost. If you wish to keep the data, you must save it on an optional memory card or on an external MIDI sequencer.
- Press [UTIL/CARD] so its indicator blinks.
The XP-30 will switch to Utility/Card mode. - Press [▲] or [▼] to select "UTIL 2".
- Use [▶] button to select "4:FACTORY RESET", and press [ENTER].
- Press [ENTER].
If Internal Write Protect is turned ON, the following display will appear, and the Factory Reset operation will not be executed. Change the displayed ON to OFF and press [ENTER] to turn Internal Write Protect off. - “Are You Sure?” will be displayed, press [ENTER].
