Use LOOP PHRASE IMPORT to import a WAV or AIFF file drum loop from a Loop CD onto the Hard Drive. Once imported, you have many options to make the various WAV or AIFF file drum loops part of your song. The BR-1600CD can import any audio files that meet the following specifications:
Format: WAV or AIFF
Sample Rate: 44.1kHz
Bit Depth: 16 bit
Drum loop CDs can be found online at various websites. Although we don't have resources for what specific products or websites have these loops, here's an example of a website that contains drums loops for importing from CDs:
However, any WAV or AIFF file that meets the specifications above can be imported. Additional drum loops can be found through a Google search--as Roland/BOSS does not supply or manufacture CD drum loops for importing.
LOOP PHRASE IMPORT:
1- Press the LOOP PHRASE IMPORT button
2- Cursor to IMPORT and press ENTER.
3- Cursor to the STYLE or name or the FOLDER that contains
various Loops and press ENTER.
4- You may need to select a secondary folder that
describes folders that may contain a title such as
DRUMS, DRUMS&PERC, or PERC LOOPS. You need to select
one of these folders and press enter which should lead
you to files that end with ".WAV". You can preview
these loops.
5- To hear a preview of a loop press F2 (PREVIEW).
6- To load a loop, cursor RIGHT to select a particular BANK to store the file in. There are 9 banks with 50 locations each. Press F5 to begin loading the loop phrase.
