GT-8: How do I restore the factory settings?

You can perform a Factory Reset on the BOSS GT-8 to restore all settings or a specified range of settings to their factory defaults.

1. Turn off the power.

2. While holding down PREAMP/SPEAKER [ON/OFF] and [TYPE VARIATION], turn on the power.
   The Factory Reset range setting screen appears.

   To cancel the Factory Reset, press [EXIT].

3. Press PARAMETER [◀] or [▶] to move the cursor, and turn the PATCH/VALUE dial to select the range of settings you want to restore.

   You can select the following ranges:
   System: System parameters, Harmonist scales, Auto Riff phrases, and Preamp/Speaker, Overdrive/Distortion, and Wah Custom Edit parameter settings
   Quick: User Quick Settings
   #1-1–#35-4: Settings for patch numbers 1-1 through 35-4

4. Press [ENTER] to execute the Factory Reset.
   The specified range of settings is restored to its factory defaults, and the GT-8 returns to the Play screen.
