By selecting EDIROL UA-25 MIDI OUT as a MIDI output device, you are routing MIDI data to the MIDI OUT port on the back of the UA-25. However, if there isn't a MIDI module connected to the MIDI OUT of the UA-25, you won't hear anything. To hear MIDI intruments, you'll need to route the outputs of your MIDI tracks to a valid MIDI software or hardware instrument. In Windows, the Microsoft SW Synth will produce basic MIDI instruments. Finale provides its own MIDI software synths which can be loaded to the outputs of your Finale MIDI tracks. Refer to your Finale documentation for details on mounting and activating Finale software instruments.
