The BR-8 records to a 100MB zip disk. Therefore, the recording time is limited to the capacity of the disk. There are three different recording modes that determine the amount of recording time:
MT2 50 MINS
LV1 60 MINS
LV2 75 MINS
(times are approximate)
To determine available recording time, divide the total minutes by the number of tracks used. For example, at MT2 mode there are 50 minutes available per 100MB zip disk. If all 8 tracks are used then that allows for over 6 mins per track (50mins/8 tracks).
Suggestions for Conserving Space:
-Instead of recording over an unwanted track, press UNDO after recording.
-After editing, perform Song Optimize.
-If getting "Disk Full" message, perform Song Optimize for each of the songs on the disk.
-Copy finished songs to separate zip disk as a backup, and then perform Song Erase on the original disk.
