When using the SP-555 as a USB audio interface, signals received from the computer (existing audio tracks) will, by default, be echoed back into the computer (while recording subsequent tracks). A system setting can change this behavior:
1. Hold CANCEL.
2. Hold LINE IN.
3. While continuing to hold both buttons, turn the CTRL 3 knob until "inP" appears in the display.
In this mode, only the MIC and LINE IN signals will be recorded to your DAW.
If your DAW features input monitoring, turn it off to avoid feedback.
To temporarily disable USB input to the SP-555:
1. Hold CANCEL.
2. Hold MIC.
3. While continuing to hold both buttons, turn the CTRL 3 knob until "oFF" appears in the display.
Remember to turn this setting to "on" after when finished, so you can hear what you've recorded in your DAW.
NOTE: These system settings must be applied every time the SP-555 is restarted.
