The On-board Expression pedal of the GT-8 can be used to control a number of different parameters. Use the following steps to set up the EXP pedal so it controls the On/Off function of the Tuner:
With this set up, the Tuner will be activated when the EXP pedal is in the "heel" (back) position.
1. Choose a patch to edit.
2. Press the ASSIGN/VARIABLE button - "Quick ASSIGN" shows in the display.
3. Press the PARAMETER right (>) button to select an unused assignment. An unused assignment can be identified when the assignment is flashing in the display.
4. Press ASSIGN/VARIABLE once. This turns on the assignment. "Quick ASSIGN" will no longer be flashing.
5. Press PARAMETER right once (>) to select "Target."
6. Turn the PATCH/VALUE dial to select "TUNER On/Off."
7. Press PARAMETER right (>) to select "Target Min."
8. Turn the PATCH/VALUE dial to select "On."
9. Press PARAMETER right (>) to select "Target Max."
10. Turn the PATCH/VALUE dial to select "Off."
11. Press PARAMETER right (>) to select "Source."
12. Turn the PATCH/VALUE dial to select "EXP PEDAL."
13. Press PARAMETER right (>) to select "Source Mode."
14. Turn the PATCH/VALUE dial to select "NORMAL."
15. Press PARAMETER right (>) to select "Act. Range Lo."
16. Turn the PATCH/VALUE dial to select "0."
17. Press PARAMETER right (>) to select "Act. Range Hi."
18. Turn the PATCH/VALUE dial to select "127."
When the EXP pedal is in the "heel back" position, the Tuner will activate.
Press EXIT when you're finished. If you want to save the new settings, be sure to WRITE them to the patch by pressing the WRITE button twice.
