The Fantom-G comes with 32MB of RAM standard. To see how much time you have for sampling, press SAMPLING. The upper left-hand corner will display how many MB remain.
Take that number and divide it by ten. The resulting number is how many stereo minutes you have to sample or record audio.
For example, if the sampling page says you have 3MB of RAM free, you can sample for approximately 0.3 minutes (or about 20 seconds) in stereo.
As you might expect, installing 512MB of RAM (+32MB internal gives you 544MB) will give you another 54.4 minutes in stereo.
If you sample in mono, you can effectively double your available sample time.
