A convenient method for storing setup information (Patch assignments, volume levels, panning, etc.) is to dump (send) the temporary Performance data to the JV-1000's built-in sequencer. This will ensure that the settings you have made will be recalled every time that song is played back.
Use the following procedure to send the temporary Performance data to the sequencer of the JV-1000:
NOTE: It is important that the setup data is sent before any note data. If your song starts at measure one, you should insert at least 4 blank measures at the beginning of the song.
- Press WRITE (COMPARE).
- Use the CURSOR buttons to select "BULK."
- Press ENTER (in the upper, center portion of the JV-1000).
- Use the CURSOR buttons to select "Temporary."
- Press ENTER (in the upper, center portion of the JV-1000).
- Use the CURSOR buttons to select "ALL."
- Press ENTER (in the upper, center portion of the JV-1000).
- While holding REC, press PAUSE on the sequencer.
- Press ENTER (in the upper, center portion of the JV-1000).
The display will indicate when it is finished sending data (it takes approximately 4 measures at a tempo of 120 BPM).
