1. Connect a dynamic microphone to the VP-550's read MIC input.
2. Sing into the mic and check the Level indicator status.
3. Adjust the LEVEL slider so that the yellow indicator lights at the loudest you expect to sing.
4. Press one of the six VOCAL DESIGNER buttons.
5. While holding one or more notes on the keyboard, sing into the mic.
6. Adjust the DIRECT slider to add the desired amount of dry (unprocessed) signal.
