TD-30: Assigning MIDI Note Numbers to Pads in a Kit

In the TD-30, you can reassign the MIDI note numbers for the pads in a Kit as desired. This can be convenient for MIDI sequencing or when triggering the sounds within your DAW. From the factory, the MIDI notes are already conveniently assigned in each kit. Here's how to change them.

1. Choose a Kit to edit.
2. Press the INST button.
3. Press F3 (CONTROL).
4. Press F5 (MIDI).
5. Hit the pad - or portion of the pad (head or rim)- that you'd like to set the MIDI note number for.
6. Turn the dial to choose the desired note number.
7. Repeat Steps 5 and 6 for any remaining pads.
8. Press KIT when you're finished. The new assignments are saved in the Kit automatically.
