The following article will guide you through setting up the VS-100 to be used with Logic Pro 9 software.
Note: The V-STUDIO 100 Driver must be installed prior to following the setup instructions below. If you have not installed the driver, follow the instructions in the “V-STUDIO 100: V-STUDIO 100 Software and Driver Installation (Windows)” or "V-STUDIO 100, VS-100: Software and Driver Installation (Mac OS X)" articles.
Audio I/O Setup:
- Select Logic Pro in the menu bar and navigate to Preferences.
- Click on “Audio...”
- On the Core Audio tab found under the Devices tab, set your Device to “VS-100 44.1kHz”--if it is not already set.
Note: The sample rate displayed will change depending on the sample rate settings of the VS-100. - Click “Apply Changes”.
- Close the Preferences menu.
Control Surface Setup:
- Select Logic Pro in the menu bar and navigate to Preferences.
- Navigate to Control Surfaces and then click on “Setup...” A Setup window will appear.
- Click on “New” and then select “Install…” An Install window will appear.
- Select “Mackie Designs (Manufacturer) / Mackie Control (Model) / Logic Control (Module) and then click “Add”.
Note: If prompted with the message “No new Devices found”, click on “Add Manually”. - In the Setup window, expand the Mackie Control section and assign both the Out Port and Input Port to “CONTROL”.
- Close the Control Surface Install and Setup windows.
