The RD-300NX allows you to use up to 2 sounds at a time in a Layer or a Split or up to 3 sounds at a time when combining a Layer and Split. Depending on the sounds you select, you may wish to position the individual sounds across the stereo field by panning them left or right to varying degrees. For example, in a piano and bass split, you might want to have more of the bass sound coming out of the left speaker and more of the piano sound coming out of the right speaker. Use the following procedure to adjust the pan settings of the parts in a Layer or a Split:
1. After creating a SPLIT or LAYER, press the LAYER EDIT button so it is lit.
2. Use the UP / DOWN CURSOR buttons to select the part you wish to pan.
3. Use the LEFT / RIGHT CURSOR buttons to highlight the "PAN" column.
4. Use the INC / DEC buttons to set the pan amount.
NOTE:
R64 is maximum RIGHT PAN
L64 is maximum LEFT PAN
0 is zero pan with the sound centered in the middle.
NOTE: If you wish to save your settings, be sure to save them to a new LIVE SET.
