The INTEGRA-7 can connect to an Apple iPad via USB using the Apple Camera Connector Kit (or Lightning to USB Camera Adapter for newer iPads with the lightning connector).
Required Items
- INTEGRA-7
- Connector to use for connecting via USB
Apple iPad Camera Connection Kit (with third generation and earlier iPads)
Lightning to USB Camera Adapter (with fourth generation and later iPads) - USB cable (type-A male – type-B male: commercially available, data transfer supported)
Use the following procedure to set up this connection:
Set the USB Driver in the INTEGRA-7 to "Generic."
- Press the [MENU] button.
- Choose “System,” and press the [ENTER] button.
- Choose the “SETUP” tab.
- Set the “USB Driver” parameter to “GENERIC (MIDI only).”
- Hold down the [SHIFT] button and press the [EDIT] button to save the system settings.
- Restart the INTEGRA-7.
Connect to the iPad
- Connect the Apple iPad Camera Connection Kit or the Lightning to USB Camera Adapter to the iPad.
- Use a USB cable (commercially available) to connect the USB connector of the Apple iPad Camera Connection Kit or the Lightning to USB Camera Adapter to the INTEGRA-7’s USB COMPUTER port.
Setting Up the INTEGRA-7 Editor
- Start the INTEGRA-7 Editor.
- Touch the gears icon in the upper right hand corner of the application to open the settings window.
- Set the "Mode Select" switch to "Normal."
- Set the device ID to the same setting as on the INTEGRA-7. (By default, this will be 17.)
Checking the device ID of the INTEGRA-7 Note the value shown under [MENU] “System” “MIDI” tab Device ID. - Choose the INTEGRA-7 as the MIDI device.
You should now be able to use the editor to control the INTEGRA-7. - Tap somewhere other than in the setup screen.
The setup screen will disappear. - Press the [READ] button.
