The FR-1X can connect to an Apple iPone (r) using the Roland WNA1100-RL Wireless USB Adapter (requires system version 1.05 or higher). Use the following procedure to set up this connection using the "Ad-Hoc" mode:
Wireless settings in the FR-1X
1. Connect the WNA1100-RL to the USB Memory port on the FR-1X
2. Press and hold the "SET" reigister to enter the Parameter mode.
3. Use the treble register "3" or "4" to select "Adh" on the display, then use the treble register "1" or "2" to select "on." This turns on the Ad-Hoc wireless mode.
4. Use the treble register "3" or "4" to select "Adk" on the display, then use the treble register "1" or "2" to display the Ad-Hoc key information. You will need this information for the wireless settings in your iPhone so please note these numbers.
5. To save these settings, press and hold "SET" until the display shows "Urt," then press treble register "2." (the display will show "Yes"), then press ENTER to confirm.
Connect to the iPhone
1. Start up the iPhone and select the "Settings" icon.
2. Select "Wi-Fi."
3. Under "Choose a Network," select "FR-1X" A password box will pop up - enter the 0-0 (2 Zeros) then the 3-digit number you noted from the FR-1X, then touch "Join."
The iPhone is now connected wirelessly to the FR-1X, and you can use the Roland iOS apps as needed.
