The BR-80’s MTR mode allows you to import audio files from the LIVE REC mode. This is useful if you would like to record additional tracks (e.g. Vocals, Guitar, etc) to an existing stereo audio file from LIVE REC mode. The following article will guide you through the proper steps.
IMPORTING AN AUDIO FILE INTO LIVE REC MODE
First import the audio file into LIVE REC mode using the following article: BR-80: Importing an MP3 or WAV file into LIVE REC mode
SELECT YOUR LIVE REC FILE
- Press the power button a number of times until the LIVE REC indicator is lit.
- Use the dial to select a LIVE REC song file.
- Press PLAY to hear the file and verify that it's the correct audio file.
- Press STOP to end playback.
CREATING A SONG AND IMPORTING THE MASTERED WAV FILE
- Press the power button until MTR mode is selected.
- Press the MENU button.
- Cursor to "SONG" and then press ENTER.
- Cursor to "NEW" and then press ENTER three times. A new song will be created.
- Press the MENU button.
- Cursor to “TRACK EDIT” and then press ENTER.
- Cursor to WAV IMPORT and then press ENTER.
- Turn the data dial to select “LIVE REC CURRENT SONG” in the “SOURCE” section.
- Cursor down to the “DEST” section and then turn the data dial to select the destination track of the LIVE REC file import. For example: “TR12 – V1” will import the LIVE REC file into Tracks 1 and 2 Virtual Track 1.
- Press ENTER three times. The LIVE REC file will be imported into the track(s) that you set in “DEST”.
