The following article will guide you through setting up the R-26 to receive line level signals coming from an external device such as a mixing console, PA, iPod, CD Player, etc.

Press the MENU button.

Touch REC SETUP.

Touch REC MODE and select 2 CHANNEL.

Touch REC SOURCE, touch REC SOURCE again and then select ANALOG.

Press the MENU button.

Touch INPUT SETUP.

Touch ANALOG IN.

Touch INPUT TYPE and select LINK.

Press MENU three times to return to the main screen.

Press the SENS button.
-
Adjust the SENS to "+4dBU".

Press the SENS button again to return to the main screen.

Connect the stereo outputs of your external audio device into inputs 1 and 2 of the R-26.
Notes: This may require adapter cables. - Set the R-26 INPUT 1 knob to 12 o'clock (straight up).
Note: INPUT 1 knob adjusts the level for both inputs 1 and 2 (both left and right). INPUT 2 knob has no function in this setup. -
Press REC on the R-26 to enter record stand-bye.

Play audio from your external audio device.

Turn up the output level of your external audio device so that the R-26's meter averages between -12dB and -6dB.
- Press REC again to begin recording.
- Press STOP to end recording.
