When you perform track editing or punch in/out in MTR mode, the previous recording track data will remain on the SD card without being erased so that you may perform the UNDO function. This will reduce the available recording time. By executing the “Song Optimize” operation you can erase unneeded data from the memory card and increase the amount of space that’s available. This is useful when you are receiving a "Card Full" message but you are not finished recording a song.
Song Optimize
- Press the power button
a number of times until "MTR" is illuminated on the BR-80.
- Press the MENU button.
- Turn the data dial to select "SONG" on the screen and then press ENTER.
- Turn the data dial to select "OPTIMIZE" on the screen and then press ENTER three times.
NOTE: If a "Protected!" message appears on the screen, unprotect the song using the instructions found at the link below.
