COSM Effects in the BR-1600CD can be stored and recalled at any time (i.e. GUITAR/BASS, MIC, SIMUL, MULTI-CHANNEL and STEREO effects). These effect settings can be backed up to CD so that you have safe copies. The process for backing up COSM Effect patches that you have created depends on whether they have been stored as "User Patches" (e.g. U001) or "Song Patches" (e.g. S001). User patches can be loaded into any song in the hard drive while Song patches can only be used in the song file that the Song patch was stored in. The following steps will guide you through backing up both User and Song patches in the BR-1600CD:
Backup up User Effect Patches:
- Insert an empty CD-R/RW disc into the BR-1600CD’s CD-R/RW drive.
- Press CD-R/RW [DATA SAVE/LOAD].
- Press [F1] (BACKUP) or move the cursor to the BACKUP icon, and then press [ENTER/YES].
- Press [F2] (USER) or move the cursor to USER, and then press [ENTER/YES].
- Move the cursor to the type of data you want to back up and press [F1] (SELECT).
- When you have selected all of the data you want to back up, press [F4] (GO).
- Press ENTER three times.
Backing up Song Effect Patches:
NOTE: In order to backup Song Patches, you will need to backup the entire song.
- Insert an empty CD-R/RW disc into the BR-1600CD’s CD-R/RW drive.
- Press CD-R/RW [DATA SAVE/LOAD].
- Press [F1] (BACKUP) or move the cursor to the BACKUP icon, and then press [ENTER/YES].
- Press [F1] (SONG) or move the cursor to SONG, and then press [ENTER/YES].
- Move the cursor to the song you want to back up and press [F1] (SELECT).
- When you have selected all of the songs you want to back up, press [F4] (GO).
- Press ENTER three times.
