If would like to delay a track a few milliseconds, you can use the Track Move function to accomplish this function. This is useful if you have doubled a performance track and would then like to slightly delay one of the tracks to give a unique sound.
NOTE: There is not a function to make adjustments by milliseconds; however, the Track Move function will allow you to adjust using frames and subframes to accomplish the same result. The following is an example of using Track Move to delay Track 2, V.Track 1:
- Press UTILITY.
- CURSOR to TRACK and then press ENTER.
- CURSOR to MOVE and then press ENTER.
- Press F1 until "TIME" is shown on the right hand side of the screen towards the top.
- Use the CURSOR buttons and TIME/VALUE dial to make the following settings:
SOURCE: 2-1 (This sets the track source to be track 2, v.track 1. The number before the dash ("-") is the Track and the number after the dash ("-") is the V.Track). This is just an example; you can enter the track of your choice here.
DEST: 2-1 (Since we are not moving track 2, v.track 1 to a different location in this example, the destination setting here is the same as the "SOURCE")
START: 00:00:00-00.0 (This is a designation of hours:minutes:seconds-frames.subframes)
END: Set this time point to the end of your song. For example, if your song in 3 minutes and 35 seconds long, this would be set as: "00:03:35-00.0".
TO: Set this time to the amount of delay you would like to add. Note: By default, 3 subframes (i.e. 00:00:00-00.3) equals 1 millisecond. For example, if you would like to delay the track 10 milliseconds, multiply 3 subframes (i.e. 00:00:00-00.3) by 10. This would result in a setting of "00:00:00-00.30" for "TO:".
FROM: 00:00:00-00.0 - When you have made all of the necessary settings, press F4 (GO).
