There are four main parts that can be played from the BK-9 keyboard - UPPER1, UPPER2, LOWER, and M.BASS. All four of these parts can be used in splits or layers and there may be times that you will not want the sustain pedal to control all parts. You can use this procedure to to enable or disable the sustain (hold) pedal as it applies to each Tone Part.
- Press MENU so it is lit.
- Use the VALUE DIAL to select "Performance Edit" and press the VALUE DIAL to enter.
- Use the VALUE DIAL to select "Tone Part View" and press the VALUE DIAL to enter.
- Use the VALUE DIAL to select 'Keyboard Part" and press the VALUE DIAL to enter.
- Use the VALUE DIAL to select the desired part and press the VALUE DIAL to enter.
NOTE: UPPER1 and UPPER2 are the two "main" parts that would normally be controlled by the right side of a split. LOWER and M.BASS are the parts that are normally controlled by the left side of a split. - Use the VALUE DIAL to select "Hold Pedal" and press the VALUE DIAL to enter.
- Use the VALUE DIAL to set the Hold Pedal setting (AUTO, ON, or OFF) for the selected Part and press the VALUE DIAL to enter.
- Press EXIT several times to return to the main menu.
NOTE: If you wish to save your setting, be sure to WRITE it to a PERFORMANCE memory.
