The following is troubleshooting information to help you in the event that you cannot update the QUAD-CAPTURE’s operating system.
- Be sure to install the QUAD-CAPTURE driver for the computer's operating system prior to updating from the link below:
https://www.roland.com/global/support/by_product/quad-capture/updates_drivers/ - Download and install the "SMF Player" for the computer's operating system from the same link above.

Download the QUAD-CAPTURE update file from the link below:

Be sure to unzip/extract the downloaded update zipped file "quad_sys_v104.zip" and the downloaded UpdSMF software file prior to updating the unit. To unzip/extract the file:
- Windows:
Right-click on the downloaded files and then select "Extract All..." An extraction destination window will appear. Note: If you have WinZip installed, select instead "WinZip", click on "Extract to..." Then, select the desktop as the destination for the extraction. - Mac OS X:
Double-click on the downloaded files.
- Windows:

Be sure to log on as a user with administrative privileges on your computer.

Close/turn off system monitoring/anti-virus software. If system monitoring software such as anti-virus programs are installed on your computer, close them while installing the update.

Do not connect to a USB hub while updating.

Press and hold the AUTO-SENS button before connecting the QUAD-CAPTURE via USB and then continue holding the AUTO-SENS button until the USB light blinks on the front panel. Be sure that the USB light on the front panel of the QUAD-CAPTURE is blinking and is not solidly lit.

Open the UpdSMF update software only after the QUAD-CAPTURE is connected and its USB light is blinking.
