In order for the SI-24 to be connected to a computer, an RPC-1 PCI card would need to be installed onto a computer and the SI-24 would connect to the RPC-1 via an R-BUS cable. These products have been out of production for some time.
Computer system compatibility will depend on the driver for the RPC-1 card. Drivers for the RPC-1 card were designed by M-Audio and have not been updated in many years. You may download the legacy drivers for the RPC-1 card by clicking on the link below:
(click on Downloads --> Legacy)
The RPC-1 and SI-24 will be compatible with any ASIO compliant software (e.g. Sonar, Cubase, Logic) that is installed into the operating system that the RPC-1 has drivers for (e.g. Windows XP, Mac OS X 10.4.2).
If you are using the SI-24 alone (i.e. no R-BUS connection), then the unit will pass only MIDI control change (CC) data to any MIDI interface--no audio in or out will be available on the SI-24. In this case, compatibility will depend on the MIDI interface's driver that the SI-24 is connected to via MIDI--and not the SI-24 itself.
Note: The RPC-1 card and the SI-24 are out of production and no longer available. We do not anticipate M-Audio updating the drivers for newer operating systems.
