The following will guide you through setting up the BR-800, your external speakers and your headphones to achieve a good balance of volume:
-
Properly setup the BR-800 with your connected audio device. The following articles will guide you through the setup procedures. Click on the one that applies to what you are using.

- Setting up an external instrument or device. -
After the BR-800 is setup, turn off your external speakers and bring up the MASTER volume level up.
-
Begin either producing audio from the connected audio device (i.e. sing into the microphone, play through the connected keyboard, play your guitar, etc).
-
Be sure that the BR-800 master “L R” level meter is averaging around -6dB.
If the “L R” level is lower than -6dB, either raise the volume of your external connected device (e.g. keyboard, iPod, etc), raise the INPUT SENS and REC LEVEL knobs and/or raise the TRACK MIXER volume.
This will ensure that you have good volume to work with. -
Bring down the MASTER volume level on the BR-800.
-
Connect headphones to the headphone jack of the BR-800.
-
While audio is still playing, bring up the MASTER volume level until you hear a desired volume level in the headphones.
-
Turn down the volume setting on your speakers and then power them on.
-
While audio is still playing, bring up the volume on your speakers until you hear a desired volume level.
You should now have an even volume level between speakers and headphones.
