The VS-880/VS-880EX does not have computer integration and cannot be connected directly to a computer. Roland had not designed WAV conversion functionality with these VS recorders--to export your tracks as audio files to a computer. However, a third party developer designed software years ago to convert VS CD backups into WAV files. You will need to have CD backups of VS-880/VS-880EX songs in order to accomplish this. NOTE: Roland CD drives are out of production and are no longer available.

Another option would be to pass audio into computer software in real-time (e.g. Sonar, Pro Tools, Logic, etc) using an audio interface. To accomplish this, you will connect the left and right MASTER OUTPUTS of the VS-880/VS-880EX into the inputs of an audio interface that is compatible with your computer's current operating system.

NOTE:
- The VS-880/VS-880EX does not contain direct computer integration and cannot be connected to a computer without an audio interface.
- The SCSI port on the back panel is designed to connect to external drives and cannot be used to connect to a computer.
- There is not a USB adapter available to connect the VS recorder to a computer.
