Track move is useful if you need to get rid of unwanted silence at the beginning of a track by moving your recorded material to zero on the timeline.
- Press UTILITY.
- CURSOR to TRK and then press ENTER.
- CURSOR to MOV and then press ENTER.
- Use the TIME/VALUE wheel to select TME/MES for the Edit Type and the press ENTER.
- CURSOR to the TR number on the left half of the display and then use the TIME/VALUE wheel to select the source track that you want to move.
- CURSOR to the TR number on the right half of the display and the use the TIME/VALUE wheel to select the destination track that you want to Move to--this will be the same track as the one selected in Step 5 above..
NOTE:
- If you need to remove silence from all individual tracks, this process will need to be repeated for each track.
- If you want to remove silence from just a Bounce or Master mixdown, then select this form both the Source track on the left and Destination track on the right. For example: If you bounced to Track 7/8 Virtual track 2, you will select "Tr: 7/8V2 Tr: 7/8V2". - Press ENTER.
- Use the CURSOR buttons and the TIME/VALUE wheel to select the START time of the material--when the audio actually begins to play.
For example (time): if there are 30 seconds of silence at the beginning of the recording that you want to remove, you would select: "00:00:30-00.0".
For example (measure): if the recording begins on measure 15, you would select: "S015-1". - Press ENTER.
- Use the CURSOR buttons and the TIME/VALUE wheel to select the END time of the material--the end of the song.
- Press ENTER.
- Use the CURSOR buttons and the TIME/VALUE wheel to select the "T001-1" or "00:00:00-00.0".
- Press ENTER two times.
- Press the EXIT button repeatedly to return to the main screen.
- Repeat these steps for any additional tracks that have silence to be removed at the beginning of the recording.
