The following are internal and external hard drive (HDD) specifications for the VS-880:
- 2.5" IDE drive (Also known as Parallel ATA).
- 4GB maximum
NOTES:
- Larger drives are not compatible and will not work. - Any standard drive speed, buffer and cache specification is compatible.
- Recommended brands would be Maxtor, Seagate and IBM.
- The VS recorder formats the hard drive into a maximum of 1GB partition size.
- Hard drives can be found at most electronic/computer stores or online. Due to the age of the VS recorder, Roland no longer carries these hard drives.
