The following article contains troubleshooting information in the event that the VS-2480 has no input or output sound:
- If speakers are connected, be sure that their volume is up and that they are turned on.
- Be sure that the speakers are connected to either outputs 1 and 2 or outputs 3 and 4 on the back panel..
- Raise the MASTER fader .
- Raise the MONITOR knob .
- If headphones are being used, raise the PHONES 1 or PHONES 2 knob.
Note: The MONITOR knob must be turn up (clockwise) in order to hear audio out of PHONES 1 or PHONES 2. - Be sure that the input mixer channels are up for the respective inputs when trying to get audio from an external device such as a mic or guitar. To do this, press the button or the button so that it illuminates orange.Then, raise the fader of the respective input to 0dB. For example: If a microphone is connected to input 5, raise fader 5 to 0dB.
- Note: If mics that require phantom power are being used (such as condenser mics), turn on the phantom power for their input using the following article:
Turning On Phantom Power - If any devices or instruments are connected (such as a drum machine or a keyboard), be sure that their volume is up.
- Be sure that the track mixer channels are up for the recorded tracks. To do this, press the button or the button so that it illuminates green.Then, raise the fader of the recorded tracks.
