The R-05's "MP3 Convert" function can convert 44.1kHz and 48kHz WAV files into MP3. If the "MP3 Convert" function doesn't appear as an option for the audio file you've selected, be sure that the audio file meets the following specifications:
- Press FINDER button.
- Cursor to the audio file that you would like to convert to MP3 and then press the red record button.
- Cursor to "2 Information" and then press the red record button.
- Cursor down to "Type" and be sure that the file is "WAV-16bit" or "WAV-24bit". Note: MP3 files cannot be converted to another MP3 format.
- Cursor down to "Sample Rate" and be sure that the file is 44.1kHz or 48kHz. Note: 88.1kHz and 96kHz files are not compatible with the R-05's MP3 Convert function.
If the file is 88.2kHz or 96kHz, audio file conversion software (such as iTunes) can be used to convert the file to MP3:
