The process for protecting or unprotecting a song or audio file into the BR-80 will depend on the mode that you are operating in (i.e. MTR, eBand or LIVE REC). The following article will guide through the appropriate steps for protecting or unprotecting a song or audio file in the BR-80:
MTR Mode
- Press the power button a number of times until "MTR" is illuminated on the BR-80.
- Press the MENU button.
- Turn the data dial to select "SONG" on the screen and then press ENTER.
- Turn the data dial to select "SELECT" on the screen and then press ENTER.
- Turn the data dial to select the song file that you would like to protect or unprotect and then press ENTER. The selected song will be loaded.
- Press the MENU button.
- Turn the data dial to select "SONG" on the screen and then press ENTER.
- Turn the data dial to select "INFO" on the screen and then press ENTER.
- Cursor down to select "PROTECT" and then turn the data dial to change the protection setting. If this does not appear, keep pressing the down cursor button until it appears on the screen.
- Press EXIT three times to return to the main screen.
eBand or LIVE REC Mode
- Press the power button a number of times until "eBand" is illuminated on the BR-80.
- Turn the data dial to select the eBand file that you would like to protect or unprotect.
- Turn the data dial to select "SONG" on the screen and then press ENTER.
- Turn the data dial to select "INFO" on the screen and then press ENTER.
- Press the down cursor button until the screen changes and then select "PROTECT". If this does not appear, keep pressing the down cursor button until it appears on the screen.
- Turn the data dial to change the protection setting.
- Press EXIT three times to return to the main screen.
