The following article will guide through setting up the BR-800 as the default audio interface for your computer's operating system. This will allow programs that use your computer's sound settings to output audio through the BR-800 (e.g. Windows Media Player, iTunes, etc).
NOTE:
- Be sure to connect speakers or headphones directly to the BR-800 and not to your computer's installed soundcard.
- The BR-800 driver must be installed on your computer prior to following the setup below. If you have not installed this driver, you may download and install the driver for your operating system by clicking here.
BR-800 Setup
- Connect a USB cable to the BR-800 and the computer.
- Press the MENU button.
- Cursor to "USB," and then press ENTER.
- Cursor to "CONTROL SURFACE," and then press ENTER—this puts the BR-800 in Control Surface mode.
Computer Setup
Windows 8 and Windows 10:

Move your mouse to the top-right of the desktop screen. The Charms bar appears on the right hand side of the screen.

Click on "Settings".

Select Control Panel. The Control Panel window will appear.

Select Sound. The Sound window will appear.

In the Playback tab, select the BR-800 and then click on "Set Default".

Click on "Apply" and then click on "OK".
Windows Vista, and Windows 7:

Click on the Windows (or Start) icon on the bottom left of the screen.

Select Control Panel.

On the top right of the Control Panel window, select "View by..." as "Small Icons."

Open the Sounds devices icon.

Under playback device, select the BR-800.

Click on Set as Default and then click on OK.
Windows XP:

Click on the Start icon on the bottom left of the screen.

Select Control Panel.

On the left margin of the Control Panel, select "Switch to Classic View".

Open the Sounds and Audio devices icon.

Select the Audio tab.

Under Sound Playback, select the BR-800.

Click on Apply and then OK.
Mac OS X:

Click on the Apple icon and then select System Preferences.

Click on Sound.

Click on the OUTPUT tab and then select the BR-800.
