The following article will guide through syncing two VS-2400CDs together as well as passing digital audio from one VS-2400CD to the other VS-2400CD. This is useful if you would like to integrate two VS-2400CD systems together.
NOTES:
- The 1st VS-2400CD will be referred to as the MASTER VS-2400CD and it is the one that you should connect your speakers or headphones to. The 2nd VS-2400CD will be referred to as the SLAVE VS-2400CD.
- Make sure that both VS-2400CDs are powered on and that the current song's sampling rate (96 kHz, 48 kHz, 44.1 kHz, or 32 kHz) is the same on both units.
- These will still be two independent VS-2400CDs so effects from one VS cannot be used in another VS. This will simply be a stereo mix sent from the SLAVE VS-2400CD to the MASTER VS-2400CD.
Connections:
- Connect the MIDI OUT/THRU jack of the SLAVE VS-2400CD to the MIDI IN jack of the MASTER VS-2400CD.
- Connect the MIDI OUT jack of the MASTER VS-2400CD to the MIDI IN jack of the SLAVE VS-2400CD.
- Connect the DIGITAL OUT jack (Coaxial or Optical) of the SLAVE VS-2400CD to the DIGITAL IN (Coaxial or Optical) of the MASTER VS-2400CD.
- Connect DIGITAL OUT jack of the slave VS-2400 to the DIGITAL IN (Coaxial or Optical) jack on the VS-2400CD.
Note: If using a coaxial cable, be sure that this is a digital audio coaxial cable and not an RCA cable--as these are two different types of cables.
