TD-17: How do I adjust the Snare Cross Stick (X-Stick) Sensitivity?

It's possible to adjust the X-Stick sensitivity on the snare pad in the TD-17. The "X-Stick Adjust" parameter allows you tailor the sensitivity to your particular playing style when performing cross sticks. 

Here's how. 

1. Press the SETUP button.
2. Cursor down to highlight "Pad Settings," and then press ENTER.
3. Press F3(ADVNCD tab). 
4. Press F2(RIM tab).
5. Cursor down to highlight "XStick Adjust."
6. Hit the snare pad to select the input.
7. Turn the main dial to adjust the value. Increasing the value makes it easier to trigger the X-Stick sounds. Using a lower value will require more force to trigger the X-Stick sounds, but may also cause a Rim Shot sound in place of an X-Stick sound.

Note: When performing X-Sticks on the snare pad, be sure to lay the stick from rim-to rim without touching the mesh head, and then tap on the rim.
