If you've purchased any of the three sound expansions available for the FR-3x/3xb, including the Dallapé sound expansion, the Alpine sound expansion, and the accordion orchestra expansion, you can use the following procedure to load them into your accordion:
- Plug the USB flash drive containing your sound expansion files into the USB host port on your FR-3x/3xb.
- Press and hold down the [SET] register.
The display shows the name of the last parameter you selected. - Use treble register [3] or [4] (PARAM LIST) to select “Snd” (Sound).
- Use treble registers [1] and [2] (VALUE) to select the number of the sound file you
want to load from the connected USB memory.
There should only be one number available if you're loading a certified Roland V-accordion sound expansion. - Press treble register [7] (ENTER) to confirm your selection.
- Use treble registers [1] and [2] to select the desired target memory area.
There are 2 memory slots available on the FR-3x/3xb, which means you can have 2 different sound expansions loaded at one time. If you already have one loaded, be sure that you don't over-write that sound expansion by picking the blank memory. - Press treble register [7] to load the selected sound set.
When the procedure is happening, the display will show "lod" (load). When it's finished, the display will show "don". - You may exit back to the main screen by pressing the set register.
