- Connect an external Footswitch, or Expression pedal, to either of the two CTL/EXP IN jacks.
Depending on whether you need to set up an Expression Pedal, or Footswitch, you will set up connections from the ES-8 as follows:
EXPRESSION PEDAL -
a. Connect the 1/4" TRS cable from your Expression pedal to either of the two CTL/EXP IN jacks.
b. Then connect a 1/4" TRS cable from the corresponding Expression out jack (EXP1, EXP2) to the Expression In of the device you wish to control.
FOOTSWITCH -
a. Connect the 1/4" TRS cable from your Footswitch pedal to either of the two CTL/EXP IN jacks.
b. Then connect a 1/4" TRS cable from the corresponding CTL out jack (CTL 1/2, CTL 3/4, CTL 5/6) to the Footswitch in jack of the device you wish to control.
SETUP STEPS:
- Press the EDIT button.
- Press the Left/Right Arrow buttons until you get to the PATCH parameter category.
- Press ENTER.
- Press the Left/Right Arrow buttons until you get to the CTL Output enable page.
- Press Page right to get to the desired CTL output.
- Press + button to enable individual CTL outputs (1 – 6).
- Configure any Control/Expression assignments necessary on the receiving device.
