It's possible to perform cross-stick (side stick) techniques on the snare pad. For this to function, you must assign one of the snare instruments to the snare pad that has a cross stick sound associated with it. Here's how to activate the cross-stick feature for the snare pad in a Kit:
1. Choose a Kit to edit.
2. Press the KICK/ENTER button.
3. Hit the snare pad.
4. Turn the INSTRUMENT knob to select one of the SNARE XSTICK instruments:

SuprSteel X
Stainless X
5. When you're finished, press the function 1 button 3 times to return to the main menu. The new assignment is saved in the kit automatically.
