The BK-7m can be connected to a computer via a standard USB cable, and there are two options for this connection:
- Generic: This is the default setting on the BK-7m, and it allows the BK-7m to use the built-in MIDI driver in your computer. There is no need to install a Roland driver on your computer with this setting.
- Original: This option requires that you install a Roland USB driver on your computer to facilitate communication. The Roland driver generally provides greater speed with the MIDI communication.
Here are the steps to change the USB driver settings:
- Press MENU.
- Use the Value dial to select "Global" and press the dial in to select it.
