You can back up all 100 Live Sets in the RD-700NX to internal memory, or to a USB key in a single file called a "Live Set file." Here are the steps to back up your settings:
1. Press MENU.
2. Use the the Cursor up / down (^/v) buttons to select “5.File,” then press ENTER.
3. Use the Cursor up / down (^/v) buttons to select “0. Live Set Save,” then press ENTER
4. Press the LAYER EDIT (MEDIA) button to select the save destination for the Live Set file (either Internal or USB). If you select USB, you will need to have a USB memory key connected to the USB MEMORY port on the back of the RD-700NX.
5. Use the Cursor </> buttons and the INC/DEC buttons to enter the name of your backup file (optional).
6. When you’ve finished entering the file name, press ENTER. The Live Set file will be saved.
NOTE: “Executing...” appears in the display while the save is in progress. Do not turn off the power will the file is being saved.
MEMO: If a file with the same name has already been saved, the confirmation message “Overwrite OK?” appears. To overwrite the Live Set file, press the [ENTER] button; to save the file under a different name, press the [EXIT/SHIFT] button.
7. Press the MENU button to return to the main screen.
