The RC-3 Loop Station's USB 2.0 port allows you to connect to your computer and import/export 16 bit, 44.1 sample rate, WAV format audio. This is very useful when you desire to import audio loops from third-party sample collections, or audio files you have already created on your computer, into your RC-3.
To Import audio files into one or more of the RC-3's 99 Phrase Loop Memory slots, follow these steps:
1. Connect a BOSS PSA-120S to the RC-3, or insert a fresh battery.
2. To power up the RC-3, connect a guitar cable into the Output A jack.
3. Connect the RC-3 to your computer with a USB cable and it will show
up as an available hard drive on the desktop.
4. Click the RC-3 icon to open and browse to the ROLAND > WAVE folder.
5. Drag and drop your audio file into the Phrase Memory folder desired.
6. Un-plug the USB cable and connect the RC-3 to your guitar setup, if not
already connected, and choose the Phrase Memory you copied the file to
in order to listen and overdub over it.
