The following article will guide you through setting up the TR-8 to be used as the input audio interface with Bitwig software.
Audio I/O Setup:
- Select Options in the menu bar and navigate to Preferences.
- Click on “Audio...”
- Under the Input Device tab, set to TR-8 if it is not already set.
- Under the Output Device tab, select your chosen output interface.
- Click "Add Mono" to create input buses for your TR-8. You have 1 stereo and 11 mono tracks available.
- Assign using the check boxes, and rename your tracks if desired.
- Press OK.
Track Setup:
Now we will select the input source (the USB outputs of the TR-8) for a track.
- Create up to 11 Mono audio tracks by hitting SHIFT+T.
- Assign each track with the desired track input. Naming your newly created Mono tracks will help keep things organized.
Recording:
- Select all of the tracks you wish to record. On the left side of the screen, yo should should be able to record-enable all of the selected tracks at once.
- Press the record button to begin recording.
